This Traxstech transducer pole mount plate drops the First Mate XT into a 6 inch Traxstech style track with no drilling. It uses the full six inches of track, so the pole does not rock the way it does on a single point mount, and it slides out in seconds when you want a clear deck for the trailer or the cover. It also fits other 3 inch wide marine track such as Bert’s and Cannon. $25.
How the Traxstech transducer pole mount works
The plate is the bridge between your track and the pole. It slides into the track from the end, tightens down with the knobs, and gives the universal transducer pole mount a flat, full length base to bolt to. The universal mount then carries the XT the same way it does on a rail or a deck. A single point mount only grabs a couple of inches of track and lets a five foot pole lever against it; this plate spreads that load over the whole six inches, which is why the sonar image stops shaking when you run in chop.
- Fits 6 inch Traxstech track and other 3 inch interior width marine track.
- No drilling. Slide in, tighten, fish. Slide out for a clean deck.
- Low profile with snag free edges, so your line does not catch on it.
- Carries the First Mate XT universal mount and any 1 1/8 inch pole on it.
Which boats use a Traxstech transducer pole mount
Walleye boats, multi species aluminum rigs, and any boat that already runs Traxstech track for rod holders and downriggers. If your gunnel has track on it, this is the cleanest way to run a motorized sonar pole without adding a single hole. Bass boats and other boats with a trolling motor up front usually do better with the Minn Kota Ultrex kit or the Lowrance Ghost mount, which put the pole on the motor shaft instead.
Not sure whether your track is a 3 inch interior? Measure the inside width of the channel, or send a photo through the contact page and we will check it for you.
Why we built a Traxstech transducer pole mount
Track owners kept asking us for a way to run the First Mate XT without drilling their gunnel, and the generic track adapters they were using flexed enough to shake the sonar picture. A six inch plate solved both problems: no holes, and enough contact with the track that the pole stays put. You can see track installs alongside rail and trolling motor rigs in our customer installs gallery, and the rest of the XT mounts and accessories are here.

Traxstech transducer pole mount questions
Does the plate include the pole clamp?
No. The plate is the track adapter. You bolt the universal transducer pole mount to it, and that clamp holds the pole. Add both to the cart if you are starting from scratch.
Will it fit 4 inch Traxstech track?
It is sized for the 6 inch track. On shorter track it will not use the full footprint, and the stability advantage is the whole point of the plate.
Can I leave it in the track on the trailer?
You can, but most customers slide the whole assembly out so the pole is not standing up on the highway. It takes seconds either way.
Do I need the XT to use it?
No. Any 1 1/8 inch pole in the universal mount will ride on this plate. The XT is what most of our customers run on it.
