This Lowrance Ghost transducer mount is a pair of split clamp “dog bone” brackets that tie the First Mate XT pole to a Lowrance Ghost trolling motor shaft. Anchoring the pole at two points keeps it from twisting in chop or on a fast run, and the brackets are cut to the Ghost’s shaft profile so they do not get in the way when the motor stows or deploys. How the Lowrance Ghost transducer mount works
Each dog bone has two clamps joined by a machined bar. One clamp grips the Ghost shaft, the other grips the XT’s 1 1/8 inch pole. Fit one bracket high and one low, and the pole is held at two points with a fixed offset from the motor, which is what stops the flex and rotation you get from a single bracket. The offset also gives the transducer clearance to turn a full circle without hitting the motor, so the XT’s 360 degree plus rotation and 0 to 12 RPM speed dial work exactly as they do on a rail.

Who the Lowrance Ghost transducer mount is for
Bass and walleye anglers running a Lowrance Ghost who want the transducer to travel with the motor and keep the bow deck clear. If you run a Minn Kota Ultrex instead, the Ultrex mounting kit is the equivalent. Why we built our own Lowrance Ghost transducer mount
Standard brackets either slip on the Ghost shaft or do not leave enough offset for a motorized head to turn. Our customers were welding up their own. So we machined a two point mount with the exact offset that live sonar needs, packed two of them per order, and sized the pole side for the First Mate XT and any other 1 1/8 inch pole. Lowrance Ghost transducer mount questions
Do I need both brackets?
Yes. One bracket lets the pole pivot; two lock it. That is why the mount is sold as a pair rather than singly.
Will it fit a Ghost with the Ghost transducer already on it?
The brackets clamp the shaft, not the motor head, so the Ghost’s own transducer is not in the way. If your shaft has an aftermarket sleeve or guard on it, send us a photo before ordering.
Does it work with Garmin or Humminbird sonar?
Yes. The mount carries the XT pole, and the XT takes any current live sonar transducer on its round post: Garmin LiveScope, Humminbird MEGA Live, or Lowrance ActiveTarget.
Which XT length do I need?
Depends on your bow height and how deep you want the transducer. The Mainmast (34 to 55 in) covers most bass boats; tall decks go Bowsprit. Ask if you are between sizes.
